About the Club

Why the club exists

Based in Venice, Florida, the Venice Takedown Club, Inc. was established in December 2016 as a Florida not-for-profit organization. The IRS has granted the club public charity status as a 501(c)(3) entity.

With ever-increasing demands on coaches that pull them into fundraising instead of coaching, the club was formed to lift that burden. Board members and officers are all uncompensated volunteers.

Mission and purpose

The club was organized to help educate, promote, and support youth wrestling in the Venice, FL area. Funds raised provide financial support to members of the Venice High School Wrestling Team and the Venice Warriors Youth Wrestling Program. That support mainly pays for wrestling camps and clinics, tournaments, equipment, and youth wrestling events.
